Naviera Armas on the Almería-Nador route
Naviera Armas is the operator from the Canary Islands that, since taking over Trasmediterránea, also sails to Morocco. On Almería-Nador Armas leaves Almería around midday, at 12:00, and arrives around 19:00 in Beni Ensar; back, the night ferry leaves Nador at 23:00. Armas sails less often than Baleària, a few times a week, and the crossing takes seven hours.
In both ports Naviera Armas has its own terminal where you check in and, if need be, still buy a ticket. Follow the signs with the operator’s name.

The Juan J. Sister
Naviera Armas sails the line with the Juan J. Sister, a ship laid out for the night: inside and outside cabins for two to four people, a restaurant and a cafeteria, a play area for children and plenty of open deck. The cars stand on the vehicle deck, which you cannot reach during the crossing.
On board
On the way back, at night from Nador, the cabin is worth it: book it together with the ticket, because on board there are rarely cabins left in summer. A reserved seat is the cheap alternative, and on the day crossing out it is enough for most travellers. Food and drink you buy in the restaurant or the cafeteria; there is a play area for children and a large open deck for the morning, when the coast of the Rif comes into view.
Timetable of the Juan J. Sister
The sailings of this ship are in the table above under Naviera Armas. Note: in this week’s timetable a ship with the same name also sails under Baleària; check in your booking which operator you check in with.
What Naviera Armas costs
A single crossing with a car and two people starts around 314 euros, a return around 517 euros, price level December 2025; add the cabin, 70 to 90 euros. That is dearer than Baleària and GNV, and in return you get the space and the night’s sleep. Compare for your date on the prices page or in one go for all four.
Frequently asked questions about Naviera Armas
On which days does Naviera Armas sail?
A few times a week, not daily. Look in the table above for this week’s days; in summer Armas sails more often than in winter.
When does Naviera Armas arrive in Nador?
Around 19:00, after seven hours’ sailing from 12:00 out of Almería. Count on only really being on your way after customs, so an hour later. Back, Armas sails at night at 23:00 from Nador.
Can I sail without a cabin?
Yes, with a reserved seat. For the night crossing back with children we recommend a cabin.
